The UT/AU game was in Knoxville this year, so I was thrilled to finally get to go home for a game. I had been waiting for this game since April...and it had finally arrived! I really thought my UT VOLS were going to win this game, and I definitely stayed optimistic until Auburn's last score. At that point...there was not enough time for the VOLS to pull off a win. The final score was 26-22. Eric Berry was awesome as always!!
Sam came to Franklin on Friday, and we went to Cracker Barrel with my parents. Good food and good times! After dinner, we went back home and watched a little Forrest Gump before heading to bed early. We had a long day ahead of us on Saturday. We left for Knoxville around 10 AM, and got in town around 2 PM (EST) and met up with our friends, Lauren and Lee. We headed to campus around 3 PM to start tailgating. This was the first time for Sam and some of my friends to really see UT's campus and the famous Neyland Stadium. We saw the rock, Smokey, and caught a glimpse of the VOL Walk. Sam and I went to the book store before the game and got Baby Rod a few UT suprises. Baby stuff is just too cute to pass up...especially baby UT stuff! =) We got to the stadium in plenty of time to see all the pregame festivities and the famous Power T. All the pregame stuff gets me so pumped up for the game!! The weather was perfect, we had great seats in AA (except they were in the AU section), and the game was fun (except for losing). After the game we went to Cool Beans for a beer, and then headed to Oscars for a late dinner. We definitely had a good and interesting time at dinner! After dinner...we called it a night and all headed back home on Sunday. It was a fabulous weekend!!
