It's Thanksgiving Time!

Thanksgiving week/weekend was so wonderful and relaxing. Sam came in town on Tuesday night, and we both took Wednesday off work. We slept in (my favorite thing to do), grabbed some lunch, and went to meet my mom in downtown Franklin to get my Christmas gift. After trying on Uggs, we I had a great time walking around downtown Franklin and looking in all the cute stores. Later that night, Sam and I met Ashley and Chris at Buca di Beppo for a delicious Italian dinner....although not the best place to eat the night before having a big Thanksgiving lunch. ;)

We are all so full...didn't even have room for icecream!

On Thursday, we had Thanksgiving lunch at my parents' house. My mom was the main chef of the day...with some help from my daddy, grandmother, and sister. They are all fabulous cooks, and we all enjoyed the family time and delicious food. Gobble Gobble!!
My grandmother and her boyfriend, Jim, came in town to have lunch with us. We don't get to see them as often as we would like, so it was good to spend the holiday with them. We have family all over the country...so we started using webcam last year as a way to see some of our family we aren't getting to see for the holidays. This year we got to spend a little online time with Marvin and Carolyn (uncle and aunt) from Florida, and some of my cousins and aunt and uncle who were in Arizona (Jerry, Becky, Beth, Wendy, Jeremy, Caitlin, Aidan, and Spencer). It was nice to be able to find another way to see/talk to each other when you cannot be together in person.

Love this pic of MaMa, Sam, and Mommy-Ash!

Sisters with good taste...we match!

LOVE them both SO MUCH!!

Sam's first Thanksgiving with our family!

After we spent the day with my family, we headed to Auburn around 5:30pm. The drive wasn't too bad since there was good company in the car (Sam), but I was sad to say goodbye to my family. We stopped in Bham to pick up a few things, load up on gas, and grab some much needed coffee. We went straight to see Sam's family when we got to Auburn around 10:30pm...and then headed to Andrew's house to see some friends and go to bed. We got up bright and early for the Iron Bowl. The game was at 1:30pm, but we got to the tailgate around 9:30am. We had a great time hanging out with friends and family before headed to the game. Unfortunately, Auburn lost to Bama, but we still had a good time, despite the freezing cold weather.

Right after the game!

We went to see our friends at their tailgate after the game, and then headed back to Sam's tailgate. After we left, the plan was to go take a nap, and then meet up with some friends...well my nap turned into a night's sleep...sorry Sam...so we didn't make it out Friday night.
We got up Saturday morning and fixed hashbrown casserole to take to our friend's Thanksgiving lunch at Matt and Rebecca's house in Montgomery. We got there around 1:00pm and had a fabulous time. We left around 4:30pm...just in time to get back to Sam's house to watch the UT/UK game...what a game...my nerves were going crazy the whole time...but thankfully, the VOLS pulled off the win...GO VOLS!! We ended the season with a 7-5 record and 4-4 in the SEC...which put us in 2nd place in the East.
I left earlier than expected on Sunday. Mindy and I left town around 10:00am, which meant I missed the Rives' Thanksgiving lunch...but I got to ride back with Mindy and get back early enough to have a full day in Nashville...so of course...I went over to spend the day with Ash and Chris...and we watched the Titans win another game. It was a great end to a wonderful week/weekend! Loves to all of my family and friends!

Chris and the babies! =)
