My sister and her family came to spend the weekend with Sam and me the first weekend of March (behind again on my blogging...I know.) They got in town around 6:30PM and we ate a delicious meal from Urban Cookhouse that I picked up after work. It's one of my favorite places to eat...located in the middle of Homewood. YUMMY! We hung out at the house Friday night...and...the girls stayed up later than the boys...I know...I am shocked too!
We had a yummy breakfast on Saturday morning! Then we all...well except Chris who went to Costco...took naps. We got up early with G so we were tired...and the rainy weather didn't help. We headed to Homewood after we all got up and got ready. The boys went and got beer and pizza at Dave's while we shopped with G. The shopping didn't last long because of the rainy weather...so after about 30 minutes...we joined the boys for pizza. Then we headed on a search to find Dreamcakes....a cupcake place! After finding it and doing a little more shopping...we headed back to the house and got into some dry and comfy clothes...and tried the cupcakes. They were yummy! I gave up sweets for Lent...so I will be venturing back there after Easter weekend. :-) Later, the boys (so sweet) went to Cozumel in the nasty weather to pick up dinner for us and we stayed in Saturday night and hung out. Mindy came by in the nasty weather as well! I was so excited to see her...it has been since AZ...long time...and she got to meet G for the first time. And of course...visit with Ash and Chris. We had a great time!
Sunday...I woke up to a clean house and breakfast cooked....I know...I have the best sister! Little G was knocking on my door around 7:30...thanks Chris! So I got up and played with him. I am not a morning person, but I do love getting up with G. It is so fun to get him out of his crib and play with him first thing in the am...he is just so adorable in the morning! Ash and fam left around 11AM that morning...and of course I was sad to see my family leave, but we had a wonderful weekend! I took a long nap after they left...I am always tired after a weekend with G...no idea why...haha! Later that night, Sam took me to dinner at Jim & Nicks...what a sweetheart!
