Simply the Best....26!

I love birthdays...but getting older is not as fun as it used to be...but I figure...the more birthdays I have, the better! We celebrated my 26th birthday all weekend since my actual birthday was on Monday.

I got a wonderful surprise in my office on Friday afternoon. SAM SENT ME FLOWERS!! He is just the sweetest and it made my day! That was definitely the best start to the weekend that was so wonderful.

Sam is really funny and is always making me laugh...one of the many things I love about him. The way he wrapped my gift was HILARIOUS...and I know he had a good time watching me open it while laughing for a straight 10 minutes. He used Allstate notepad paper from work instead of tissue paper...and put 2 opened bags of candy, a cable splitter and cord, and a 40% off JoAnn's coupon...he also put the massage gift certificate in there. So funny!

The festivities began on Friday night when a group of my friends and family met for dinner at J. Alexander's. There were about 17 of us...and we had a great time! It doesn't get much better than drinks, good food, and fabulous friends and family! My sister got me the cutest cake from my favorite bakery, Puffy Muffin, and it was delicious! Dinner Friday night was so fun, and thank you to everyone who came...definitely meant a lot to me!

Ashley, Chris, and Little Rod got me a HOT PINK suitcase...something I needed and did not even tell my sister...that is how well she knows me...Love it!! She also got me the beautiful polka dot cake below.

TIME FOR CAKE!

My sister and Chris suprised me with the cutest and most delicious cake from Puffy Muffin. I was so excited when I saw the cake. Thanks Ash and Chris!!

Saturday was a nice and relaxing day. Sam and I watched the UT and Auburn games on 2 TVs since the games were on at the same time. I was so proud of the VOLS for not only beating Georgia...but playing a great game. The final score was 45-19...GO VOLS!! Jonathan Crompton played his best game yet...in my opinion...and he was awarded SEC offensive player of the week...YAY!!

Unfortunately, Auburn lost their first game of the season on Saturday. They played away in Arkansas and the final score was 44-23. Every crazy thing that could have happen seemed to happen in that game. I am sure the Tigers will be back...and will beat the Wildcats this Saturday!

After the games ended, Sam and I went to a few places and then stopped by Jake and Mindy's house to visit with them for a little while. Afterward, we picked up PF Changs for dinner and went home to watch the anticipated Florida/LSU game. Florida won 13-3.

FAMILY LUNCH

On Sunday our family got together and my mom cooked a delicious lunch with all my favorites. She made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and squash casserole. For dessert we had cute and delicious cookies from Puffy Muffin and ice cream. It was a good day with lots of wonderful foods to eat!

Presents from my wonderful parents! They got me some awesome stuff. Usually in our family...we get a Mother Gift and a Dad Gift...and this birthday was no different. My mom wrapped up this cute basket and put an orange scarf and a navy LongChamp bag/purse it it...LOVED IT ALL!!! My dad got me a digitial camera...I have been wanting a new one for a while...and LOVE the one he got me...and the best part...it is PINK! Thanks Momma and Daddy for my wonderful gifts!! Loves!

PUMPKIN TIME!

After lunch was over...Sam and I went to Gentry's Farm to get a few pumpkins for his front porch. We are carving them this weekend!

That was my weekend...and it did not end there. My actual birthday was on Monday...and I was planning to take the day off and have a "Katie Day", but my plans changed and I went to work. My favorite girls at work (Kelly, Lisa, and Lauren) and I went to Royal Thai for lunch, and we had a great time. After work, my dear friend, Meredith, took me to dinner at J. Alexander's (sure do love that place). We had a good time catching up and enjoying each other's company and the delicious food!
